This past weekend the best Workers’ Compensation Paralegals from around the state gathered for a seminar in Charleston, SC. The Injured Workers’ Advocates Seminar is an annual event held in order for paralegals to learn about the always changing Workers’ Compensation system in SC. One of McCravy, Newlon & Sturkie’s very own, Angie McDonald, was in attendance and had a large role in planning and organizing the event.
Ms. McDonald, who has been with McCravy for 11 years, was elected last year to serve on the Planning Committee and was asked to lead a discussion on how paralegal can better manage their files. The Committee is elected by popular vote taken by all of the attendees and Angie has now been elected twice. “I always look forward to the seminar every year, but this year was particularly exciting since I had a hand in the planning and the opportunity to teach some things I’ve learned over the years”, Angie said.
